I went to Auckland for four days last weekend (for the incredible Rolling Stones concert!!) And when I got back on Sunday night at 10pm, my husband got a torch and beckoned me outside to show me how he had dug up the weeds and bark and old dirt from around the edges of the house and bought some cute wooden fencing to go around it. He knew how much I wanted more garden space, so he made it happen, and on the weekend just gone we finished it off together by throwing some soil and compost in there.
Isn't he awesome?!
So yesterday I got mum around to give us some advice on what to plant, and so far this is the plan. A potato patch in the old garden, flowers around the front of the house for prettiness and to attract bees, then herbs and veggies including corn, beans, pumpkin, broccoli, rocket, spinach, lettuce, tomatoes and probably more I can't remember, around the side of the house by the back door.
I am unbelievably excited about this Saturday because we get to buy our plants and put them in!
